So many clichés to saying goodbye. I think the one I’m going to hold on to is… Don’t be sad it’s over, smile that it was. ThunderWillow Community Arts was created from a desire I’ve had since 2nd grade, over 55 years ago. My daughter Dana and I opened the doors to our art teaching studio on February 1st, 2011. It started with two art instructors, she and I. We have had the privilege to work with over 40 area artists during the past 7 years, sharing the joy of creativity with students of all ages and abilities from our community. In 2015, Diane joined us and her desire had always been to open a yarn store. So we did. We added a full-service yarn shop onto our studio, believing it was a great ‘sister’ to our art. Now, after almost 7 years, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors. It has been our pleasure to share the love of art and creativity. We thank those of you that supported us along the way. Keep color alive in your world! Peace, Donna “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”Thomas Merton “Every child is an artist. The problem is to remain an artist once they grow up.” Pablo Picasso
